After deleting individual emails that I no longer need, I find that they soon re-appear in the 'Inbox' as new emails. This has been happening for several weeks now. What is causing this repetition to occur and how can I stop this from happening?

probably "leave message on server" setting Check your accounts server settings. Also if you have leave ..... enabled you must mark "until I delete them"
