I'm trying to get my bookmarks synchronized between my desktop (Win7) and my laptop (Vista). Firefox is up to date on both computers. The bookmarks seem to be synchronized, but then there are folders on one computer that don't show up on the other. Also, a folder that used to have a lot of bookmarks in it is empty, and some (not all) of the bookmarks are now in the Unsorted Bookmarks folder. I would have at least thought that the two computers would have had their bookmarks merged, but apparently this has not happened, and I can't tell if one overwrites the other each time it syncs or if they are truly merging, just not the folders. Can someone enlighten me?

HI llamaladysg, Thank you for your question, it sounds like the version of merged between the two computers is not retaining the file structure. There was a bug filed for this and it is one of the bugs that they are looking into for the next version of sync. I apologize for the inconvenience, but I do not know when this will change:

However, I would be happy to work on a work around. What I tried to do was put the two sets of bookmarks in their own folders: "Boomarks Menu" then I synced them. It was a little messy, but less after some file changes.

I hope this helps.
