How can I get back connection to the web with FF-Version 66.0.5 (64-bit)
I used the 64-bit-version since months/years ! After the trouble with the certification errors FF installed by itsself the 66.0.4-update in 32-bit-version. After reanimation off the add-ons, FF automatically installed the 66.0.5-version also in 32-bit and is working again error-free. Now tried to change back to 64-bit, and cannot get any connection to the web. Not including the add-ons. Not with deactivated add-ons !!! What can & must I do. Please help me !!! Thanks

Is the browser not opening, opening but no web access, browser icon showing, but no browser window . . . . .
Some problems occur when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again;
- Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
- Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see
Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet. {web link}

Addon's only install to the version of the browser it was installed on not for both. You have to choose either a 64bit or 32bit Browser to use and then reinstall addons into each of them. I would advise to use the version based on your O/S version either 32bit or 64bit would require 32bit or 64bit Browser version to use based on that. So to chose the right one look at you O/S bit version to use. And then backup the bookmark then download the right bit version Browser and then uninstall all firefox version and delete Mozilla folder and then reinstall the correct version again. And see if that fixes the problem.
After de-installion and deletion of all old Mozilla folders, I tried to install once more the 66.0.5.-64-bit-FF-version. The result was again: no WEB-entry possible, no add-on installation possible, because no access to Mozlla possible. From my point of view the deletion of the old folders was not needed, because I remembered, during the first change from 32 to 64-bit, FF used the same profile data from 32-bit installation with no problems.
Please give me further advices...... Thanks thomas bartens
P.S. My OS is WIN 10 Pro with 16 GB RRAM

Sorry, Not correct. Plugins are found on the computer. Extensions and themes are stored in the profile folder.
