I've just updated my Thunderbird for Windows to 151 and I got this nasty surprise (this is why I hate updates these days).

The message list in dark mode, in a table view, now has this awful pitch black background instead of the normal dark brown as it used to have. It looks OK in cards mode, but I don't like cards mode.

I certainly hope this is a bug and not by design. Can this be fixed, please? It looks terrible, it's hard to look at, like old Windows 10 dark mode or some high contrast accessibility mode.

I have this problem. On only 1 PC from 5, with same mailboxes installed and same configurations, on one of the mailboxes, Thunderbird does not accept setting to "not read" the letter. I tried making time to read the letter and it worked for 10 min, and then again stopped. At final, no matter how it is set, when I push to read the message it always read it.

Tried repairing the folder, but doesn't work.

Any Ideas will be great.

My windows 10 machine died on me recently, but I was able to recover all my Thunderbird Email files from the old hard drive. However, the Thunderbird settings I was using under Windows 10 did not transfer over to the new machine and there is one particular issue which is driving me crazy and I don't know how to fix:

Basically, on my previous machine I frequently filtered my emails using the threaded option based on the Subject field. However, under Windows 10 the filter I was using would ignore the "Re:" in the subject line of such threads and so every message in the thread was displayed as if the various instances of "Re:" simply weren't there. However, on my new machine Thunderbird threads messages as if each instance of "Re:" represents a new thread! How do I fix this?

I am using Windows 11 with the latest Thunderbird 151.0.1. I have been trying to add color to the column title background in the message list using the userChrome.css with the following:

1. sizeCol {background-color: #dcfffc !important;}
2. recipientCol {background-color: #dcfffc !important;}
3. subjectCol {background-color: #dcfffc !important;}
4. dateCol {background-color: #dcfffc !important;}

1. spamCol {background-color: #dcfffc !important;}
2. fromCol { background-color: #dcfffc  !important;}
3. attachmentsCol { background-color: #dcfffc  !important;}

They work except the 'from', 'attachments' and 'spam' columns title backgrounds. Can anyone see what I am doing wrong? Or is there a way to color all column title backgrounds in one line? Thanks

I copy (Ctrl+C) some text from Chrome , and want to paste in Firefox (Ctrl+V) whey need to move to the icon and click the icon 1 more time , then Firefox can let me past the text ? I don't want this function , downgrade the performance seriously.

I think can change it back in settings , no need to move to the icon and click .

Firefox opens on my second monitor despite my confirming my primary monitor as 1 in Windows 11 I have tried on many occasions to "lock" Firefox onto monitor 1 via settings in Win 11 and Firefox, but it still opens probably 3 times out of 5 on the 2nd monitor. My version is 151.0.3

i want to be able to change the hotkey corresponding to go to left/right tab which the default is Ctrl+Pg Up/Dn in my lenovo thinkpad keyboard. and in about:keyboard that option is not available, in fact the hotkey isnt even mentioned

My Thunderbird has suddenly stopped showing date and size against incoming emails - it also wasn't showing sender but suddenly changed despite me not changing any options. Date and size are clearly ticked in the drop down box. Basically, it is randomly deciding what to display even when I am not changing options!

Can I lock in my Zoom setting to 120. When I am scrolling up or down a page, My 120 zoom goes crazy. There has to be a way to lock my zoom rate to 120. I can lock in my zoom rate with Chrome. Why not Mozilla?

I have tried all the recommended methods to alter the display of dates in my Thunderbird inbox but cannot alter the format as short. It is very inconvenient not to see the correct Day number.

In Thunderbird on my Mac there appears to be no way of restoring alphabetical order to Folders.

All of my folders under A(and there are a lot of them) have dropped down a few alphabetical letters. There is supposed to be a right click on account name and restore this order, however, like many features on Thunderbird it does not exist now.

So a) why has Thunderbird on my Mac done this and how do I sort it out please?

My Thunderbird Inbox details included Date and Time for each incoming email but I have somehow stopped that - how do I reset it to display this information? Attached is a screen shot of the top of the display.

It seems a pity that Gmail is not an App on Windows and that one has to browse to open a gmail account..

I would like to set up a Gmail Tab that uses a firefox shortcut to access my gmail account but I am struggling with the shortcut path to do this. I have a standard Windows 11 set up

Not sure if this is a Linux or Firefox issue, but here goes. In the past when uploading pictures for instance in Gmail I got a menu showing places EG pictures, video's etc. Example - home - pictures- cats - black cats - list of jpg's, click attach. When attaching another pic from the same folder etc it used to default to the same folder location with the list of jpg's.

With the last few FF updates that isn't the case any more, when next attaching a pic file I now have to start again from scratch EG home, pics, cats, black cats instead of click attach straight to list of jpg's in back cats.

Is there anyway I can configure FF back to the old setting please?
