Open Table Properties as before. Make sure to select 'Table' and then click on 'Advanced Edit' button

In HTML Attributes tab

  • type 'bordercolor' in the 'Attribute'
  • in Value you can use the word eg: Blue or type an HTML colour string eg: #3333ff
  • click on OK to close Advanced Property editor
  • click on 'Apply' to see colour.
  • click on OK to close Table Properties.

If you do not know HTML colour string, you can locate some here. In a normal Write message, click on the Text Colour icon to open a small Text Colour window. When you select the colour, it will show you the html colour string, which must have the hash tag # before the numbers and letters.

Hi charlotteauxfraises, If it is an html based table you can add css properties to the table html tags.

  1. In the compose window click on the button that looks like a paper with a fold in it, and then click on Table
  2. A size menu will pop up, click on advanced edit button
  3. In HTML Attributes add bordercolor and then put the color in the box next to it. Take note that bgcolor is the background color of the table, and these cannot be edited once added. (or maybe there is an add on, but I do no know)

Happy to help.

Hello Guigs2,

Thanks for your answer but it did not really help. I could only find the bgborder attribute, which indeed colors the background. I try below to explain what I do

  • I am in TB. I click on "new mail" then"insert a table" then fill the requested number of columns etc... Result is: a standard table.
    • I go to "table properties" then advanced BUT there is no field to be filled in for style or color of the border.
      • Hence my question above.

What I would like to have is simple way to create a table with the style and colors to be chosen. If I have to go via HTML I am not sure of the results given my basic level in HTML. I have no knowledge of CSS ,sorry, I am just a basic user of TB and Firefox .

Kind regards, Charlotte
