Font on Facebook looks different on Firefox than IE?

On IE, the font looks clearer, darker and smoother but on Firefox it looks bigger, fader and rigid. Why? I previously fixed this problem by tweaking the about:config on Firefox. Changed the value of gfx.font_rendering.cleartype_params.rendering_mode to 0.

But now it doesn't work anymore. I am using Windows 8 OS.
