High CPU and slow response during Thunderbird search 1- 40.12.0esr (aarch64)

Hi All,

Thuderbird 140.12.0esr (aarch64)

iMac 24Gb M4 Chip macOS Tahoe 26.4

When I request a search through Unified Folders Inbox for 10 email addresses using Quick Filter, CPU goes to 80% or more, and response is 10-15 seconds. Main search appears to be ok. Only add-on was a printer service but has been disabled and problem still remains. In troubleshooting mode, search still causes high CPU, even though I can only search one email address. Just started about 2-3 days ago (around 17-18 June).

Any ideas?

Try R. click each Inbox > Properties > click 'Repair folder' button, then R. click each Inbox > Compact. You may have to disable Unified Folders to do that.
