Hide deleted messages.
According to my settings, when I delete a message, it is just marked as deleted. This is my preferred behavior. Is there an option to hide the deleted (strikethrough) messages in the inbox?

Generally the option of the strikethrough means it's not hidden as this is the prefered option. It needs to still be visible, but shows as a deleted email. This is usually used if the person does not want to move it to Trash folder where they would only see it if they selected the Trash folder. Some servers auto empty Trash folders, so anyone using an Imap account may like to manually move them at a later date.
I find it's not really a good option for me as I use a gmail imap account. So a strikethrough email will get removed as soon as folders synchronises with server. Basically, gmail interprets this as remove the label. I cannot see email as it's no longer in folder. The email is now in the 'All Mail' folder (I do not subscribe to see it), so I would have to logon to webmail, locate it in 'All Mail' and reapply a label.
An idea: You could mark it as ignored, then it would get hidden unless you selected to 'View' > Threads' > 'Ignored Threads'

Why don't you just create a folder and name it : Deleteds and move them from your inbox to Deleteds.
So, short answer is no. Other solutions are not convenient to me. I sometimes use my account from Thunderbird and others from webmail so I would like the experience not to change and have my deleted messages in their original folders.
