Is there a way to merge profiles? Or some other way around the problem described below.
Hi there, I am currently working from home using 2 laptops with both TB installed. One has a TB profile with several personal email accounts, and the other has a work email account. I would like to import the latter to the former without having 2 separate profiles to select from on start up of the programme. Instead just the one with all my email accounts in one place. NB because of the crisis I and my colleagues are working from home and cannot reach the person who could normally send me the configuration details so I can set it up manually. Thanks for your time! kind regards, Peter.

Peter, I have looked into Knowledge Base and Thunderbird Support for an answer to your question. I may be wrong, but it appears to me that you can not simply merge profiles easily (if at all), but you can use multiple profiles via the profile manager Use multiple profiles in Thunderbird.
I would tend recommend to add you work email account to your TB profile, assuming this is an IMAP account (this means as you may know that all emails remains on the server and you only download a copy to your computer NB! do not use POP!!). In that way you can still access and use your work email address from within your TB profile. Instructions can be found in this article Automatic Account Configuration. For accounts settings, the Thunderbird Autoconfiguration should be able to work it out (you only need provide email address and password), but if you need you can access your work email accounts settings (and then using "Manual config") by looking into your work email profile, click on the account name and chose "View Settings for this account" in Accounts (or via Preferences, Accounts settings). All the best from Stockholm, stay safe!

Hei Fabian, thank you for taking the time to explain this, it looks like the way to go under the circumstances! Tusen tack (I lived in Stockholm myself 20 years ago!), with these instructions I'll be able to manage because I do still have access. kind regards, Peter.
