TB 60 installed today and now I can't see any of my email. The new version was installed automatically, how can I revert to prior working version?

One new email showed up while I was researching/creating this problem ticket. The time stamp was after the new version installed. I have already left the email program running for over half an hour, but no email previous to the update is displaying. I will leave the program running in hopes it will turn up - but I would still like to know how to revert to the previously working program, just in case. I need my older email.

Thank you for your suggestion - I will keep it in mind if I have any further problems like this one. I didn't need to try it this time because after an hour or so, Thunderbird apparently fixed itself - all my email became visible. I do have a lot of emails (over 500) in my inbox, so perhaps that was a factor. Again, thank you, your suggestion is appreciated.
