Can't visualize the information of emails at inbox - they are there but I can't see

My inbox looks empty. But the emails are there, because when I click on an apparently "empty" line, the email content appears below and I can read them. But still, the inbox list looks empty. Thank you so much for your help!

above the up down slider on the right of the windows is a small square box. Click it and select "reset columns to default"

Can you move the "empty" line message to a different folder? Does the message then show properly?
