Now that Microsoft has foisted Windows 10 on me, how should I escape the current situation in which Thunderbird has frozen with dead keyboard and mouse?
This is my first attempt at using Thunderbird following overnight "upgrade" to Windows 10. Thunderbird immediately froze with an irritating electronic hum/buzz. It has persisted for over an hour now. No response from either keyboard or mouse. Also no response when I hit the power switch or try CTRL-ALT-DELETE. All I can do now is to unplug the power and let the battery run down, but what next after that?
(I am writing this on my other computer, which has (so far) escaped the clutches of Windows 10.)
