Inbox Rules
I am preparing to migrate from K9 mail to Thunderbird for Android. Before I go through the process and learning curve for the software, one key feature will be the determining factor.
Does Thunderbird for Android have inbox rules, possibly also called Filters like in Thunderbird Desktop, that will automatically find keywords or sender info in the header of a received message and deposit that message into a designated alternate folder?
That would determine whether I switch to Thunderbird for Android.
Thanks.

Hi Ed9213
K9 Mail and Thunderbird for Android are essentially the same app.
They're built from the same code base and have only minor differences such as color scheme. TB for Android provides an additional feature to help users import their accounts from Thunderbird desktop. See here for more information.
You can have both apps installed at the same time if you'd like to compare them. Thunderbird for android allows you to import your settings directly from K9.
Neither K9 or Thunderbird offer any rule based filtering.
