To test an application that uses "default browser", I switched the default in Windows 10 to Chrome. In trying to switch back to Firefox, I wound up with a new Firefox as the default. Windows didn't give me Firefox as a possible browser, so I went to MS App & downloaded Firefox. The new version (profile?) has none of my saved logins, history, bookmarks, etc. How do I get back to my original Firefox?

The Windows store version of Firefox uses a completely different data path than the Mozilla build of Firefox. If you haven't spent much time setting up the Windows store version, you could remove that and then install from Mozilla and see whether it can reconnect with your data:

If at any point you are asked whether you want to delete data, you don't.

Thank you! You saved some nerves from fraying! Especially, trying to get back all of my saved logins. I'd recently downloaded an update. Reinstalling that update fixed the problem, and before it closed, asked to make it the default browser. I'm back!
