firefox hangs when alternating between s and . (ex:".s.s.s.s.ss.s.s.s.s..s.s.s.s.s.s.(...)") when inputted in search bar
for repeating: opened a new tab and alternated between . and s to find out that firefox hangs after a while not sure what did happen but it hanged causing me to restart the browser
i attempted in safe mode and it also caused the browser to hang

Well... that was a nightmare. I think I got up to 30 dots before things went non-responsive. I tapped Esc a couple times and after about 30 seconds I got Firefox back.
Perhaps this is related to the Places database lookup function that populates bookmarks and history into the drop-down.
Perhaps rather than experiment with this further, you might file a bug?
And meanwhile, don't type that. ;-)
