After crashing, Firefox will not open on my Mac even after re-install.

When browsing some pages concerning whether Islam was a peaceful religion, Firefox crashed and closed. A small window opened which says "We're sorry. Firefox had a problem and crashed. We'll try to restore your tabs and windows when it restarts. To help us to diagnose and fix the problem, you can send us a crash report etc..

I have un-installed Firefox and re-downloaded it but all I can get is the crash report window. Firefox will not open.
