Firefox wont remember my search bar settings.

Firefox(v 14.0.1) will not remember my search bar settings such as the upper right search bar is reset to using yahoo every time I reopen Firefox after i close it even though I reset it to google every time. The other problem is the address bar search feature also uses yahoo even though I set keyword.URL to http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q= every time also. Please help with this.

This issue can be caused by an extension.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
