How do I completely delete the gmail account from Thunderbird
I reinstalled Thunderbird and now it tries to access my gmail account even though I didn't add it. I only use gmail when I log into it from a web site. I don't want thunderbird to have access.

see if you have a gmail calendar or address book
Not stored in my computer that I'm aware of.
click the calendar and addressbook to see if one is there.
Proud Texan, did you delete your gmail account or were you hoping that re-installing the Thunderbird app would delete it?
Re-installing the app does not delete accounts.
TB menu > Account Settings > account > Delete button upper R. corner.
