Somehow my account folder has duplicated itself, complete with Inbox, Drafts, Sent and Trash. Going to Settings, I can't see any difference. Both continue to be updated with new mail. How can I delete the duplicate? I see nothing in 'Account Settings' that would let me delete it.

I have installed Thunderbird for email but it was not what I thought it would be. I now want to cancel the account. However, the instructions are to Tools: Account Settings. 2. Select the account you want to remove on the left side. 3. Click the "Account Actions" button on the bottom left and choose, "Remove Account". Here is the problem. "Account Actions does not show"

I disconnected a Google Workspace account - Calendar and mail - from a former workplace. As far as I can tell, it's been deleted from Thunderbird.

However, I'll still get dialog boxes and an occasional browser popup asking me to reauthorise it.

How do I get rid of it once and for all?

Hi, I have two accounts in my Thunderbird. They are Gmail (regular gmail account) and CFCC (an institutional account). The CFCC shows up in my Unified Folder list but the Gmail does not. Is that normal? The main Inbox is showing all incoming emails from both accounts so no performance issues, just wondering how to get rid of the CFCC (if that's possible) to eliminate clutter. I have an email account on Thunderbird that I no longer use that I want to delete that account. I can very easily add an account to Thunderbird, but I can't seem to find any way to delete one. Is it even possible to delete an account?

I use a single Thunderbird password to access my six AOL accounts. Starting yesterday, the emails from one of my six AOL accounts do not display, but instead the emails from one of the other accounts is being duplicated in their place. I know the missing emails are indeed still in existence, since I can access that account's emails when I sign in to AOL in other browsers.

hello: for several weeks, each time I tried to add another account back to Thunderbird, MS asked for the verification, and after I added it to link to their server, it kept telling me, "Help us beat the robot," and nothing else happened; the screen stayed blank. I am unable to see any further command. If it is being done using Windows, often you may see holding down the space bar or solving a puzzle to gain access. When it comes to Linux, I ran into this issue.

This is strange! Maybe it is trying to stop me from using this account on this platform to get all my mail here. I've been using it here for many years and no issues. Please see the attached. Please look into this. Thank you....

Installed Thunderbird Setup 153.0.3 and npw when running t-bird get a prompt asking abut a 'thundermail" address. Please advise.. What is "thundermail" and why is it in my way? I am a regular donor to T-bird sent several, emails addressing the "thundermail" weirdness and thus far no reply. .

When selecting which email account to send FROM, the drop down shows a number of old email accounts. These accounts have been deleted. There are no details showing under the "account settings" or "Outgoing server." Which file stores the mail server information and where is it? I currently have around forty different email accounts across five mail servers.

Every five minutes Mozilla sends me a page asking for access to my Google account. I click "deny" and it goes away for a few minutes, but comes right back. And while it is on, I can neither send nor receive email. Is there some way to get it to go away and stay away? Thanks, Larry Wright

I have several Yahoo email accounts. I collect all email from them using pop. A few days ago on one of those accounts, when it's polled, the message "downloading 1 of x appears. However, nothing is downloaded and eventually the server timeout message appears.

I tried the repair inbox function, it didn't work. So I deleted the account and tried to add it again. I get the error message "Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [nsIMsgAccountManager.createIncomingServer]"

However, if I select manual config and test the server it tests ok, then produces the above error after continue.

None of my other accounts are affected.

Any ideas gratefully accepted

1) When launched, Thunderbird 140.13 has a pop-up window asking for a Host Gator login. HG has not been used or on this system over 8 years. "cloud80.hostgator.com is requesting your username and password." What would cause this window to appear and How to delete it completely?

2) Also, after the Thunderbird 140.13 installed and re-launched, an email was sent requesting to verify location and login sent from: "accounts at firefox.com". Is this a common request from Mozilla firefox / thunderbird?
