Chase website now requires Mozilla Firefox update 128 or higher to access accounts. My version says my version (115.30) is latest update. Do I need to find a different browser or is there a solution? I am using Windows 7 Pro desktop. Thank you.

I have this problem also with Chase. I have a Macintosh, macOS High Sierra Version 10.13.6. My Mozilla browser is Firefox 115, tried updating to Firefox 128, per Chase requirement, but wouldn't update. I've tried downloading Google Chrome per Chase requirement, but still that doesn't work. Do I need a new browser, new computer? Help, Please...

With the eol macOS 10.12, 10.13, 10.14 the most current Firefox you can run is Firefox 115 ESR currently at 115.30.0esr. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-users-macos-1012-1013-1014-moving-to-extended-support

Chrome/Chromium versions are outdated as macOS 10.13, 10.14 was dropped as of Chrome 117 and later.

If you can update your macOS to 10.15 or later then you will be able to run current versions of Firefox including the Firefox 145.0 Release and Firefox 140.5.0esr.

What you can do is try to fool the chase bank site with the method I posted above in my earlier reply.

Hmm seen people say the Chase site is looking for Firefox 138.0 or later.

Other web browsers that are Chrome/Chromium based dropped support of the old eol Windows 7, 8, 8.1 back in 2023 so that is not an option nor safe security wise.

Mozilla is still the only ones supporting Windows 7, 8, 8.1 with Firefox 115.30.0esr and planned for updates till 115.33.0esr next year unless Mozilla extends updates again. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-users-windows-7-8-and-81-moving-extended-support

You can try to change your Firefox version number to fool the Chase site.

  1. In a new tab, type or paste about:config (with a colon) in the location (address) bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button accepting the risk.
  2. In the search box in the page, type or paste forceVersion and pause while the list is filtered
  3. Double-click the network.http.useragent.forceVersion preference to display an editing field, and change the value to 128 or 140 then press Enter/Return or click the blue check mark button to save the change.
