That depends upon how and where you use it. For the most part, most websites have Terms of Service (TOS) that allow users to view the websites audio / video files online but not to save or distribute those files. So technically add-ons like that are used for illegal purposes - it's considered "file sharing". Read the TOS for the websites that you use, and let your conscientious be your guide as to what's right or wrong.
