Why have the font sizes in my existing emails suddenly changed from uniform to mixed?

All of a sudden the font sizes in my existing emails have changed from the same size to different sizes -- some larger, some smaller. Also, in some cases the font has changed from normal to bold. I used to be able to solve this problem when it happened before by closing and reopening TB, but that doesn't work anymore. I haven't made any changes to the font settings. Any suggestions?
