You should be able to control where Firefox sends searches. Could you check the following articles to make sure your search engine is set to Google (or your preference). Check the list in case there is a fake Google in there. [[Manage Firefox search settings]] If that is already set right but your searches are hijacked, one possible culprit would be an extension. You can view, disable, and often remove unwanted or unknown extensions on the Add-ons page.
