Hello , 

most of the time I can't send yahoo messages. i always have to retype the password and still it won't work. When i check the konsole for error it says something about fonts.

There are are number of people who complained about not being able to send messages via the Yahoo SMTP server recently. Check with Yahoo if they have problems.

This worked for me:

Go to Server Settings, in Thunderbird, and remove everything after '@' (including '@') from the user name. In the case of my partner's account, this did the trick. In my account, I had to put the removed bit back again before it would work!

Sounds unlikely, I know, but it worked.

Unfortunately, this has proved a short-lived solution, as the problem is back with us now.
