On June 10, 2025, Windows installed an automatic update. This caused my Dell laptop to freeze every 2 to 3 minutes and I would reboot and start over. After 4 days of this trying every fix I could think of, I took it to the local computer repair shop. He said my video driver was bad. I think that was caused by an interaction with the Windows update. He fixed the video driver. Now the problem is I can increase the font size in Firefox fine, but I can't increase the tab and address bar sizes no matter what I do. I have been searching for days and trying everything suggested. Do I have to take it back to the repair shop or can you help me?

editing a pdf and browser is red underlining words as spelled incorrectly when in fact they are real words and spelled correctly. for example dendrology is being underlined (in this message as well) and it is suggesting demonology instead. How is it that browser recognizes demonology but not dendrology ???

At setting General menu, the Network Settings section is not activated. It doesn't show anything.

How I can resolve this issue?

Question above. Enabling sidebar (for vertical tabs) stops Wikipedia at any zoom from autodisplaying the Table of contents for an individual page.

I really wish I could stop this. Love vertical tabs. Love the Wikipedia Contents displayed by default. Can't have both.

I am experiencing strange behaviour with Thunderbird and certain add-ons. For some time now, when I use certain add-ons that are supposed to display a menu, the menu does not appear. It is replaced by a circle (see attached image : two different add-ons, not showing simultaneously, but merged into the same capture). I have disabled all other add-ons, but this has not resolved the issue. I think there must be a setting that is causing the problem. But with so many settings, I don't know where to look.

Does anyone know how to find the reason for this behaviour?

I am using Thunderbird 139.0.2 (64-bit) with Windows 11.

Having trouble moving TB profile to new hard drive. HP Envy 360, Linux Mint 21.3 SSD crashed, but had a backup of the TB profile, not sure of the version of TB because of the crash. (and therefore can’t Export the files) Updated the computer with an M.2 stick and reinstalled Mint. Fine so far Installed TB, (which is 115.18), and have tried to copy and paste the old profile. Got the following message:

"A newer version of Thunderbird may have made changes to your profile which are no longer compatible with this older version..."

Have tried to import from the saved backup file, and got a red error message. Have tried to replace the Mail file of the new s2p4q…….. default with the Mail file of the backup. Have tried to Can’t figure out why clicking on the 93apdn…… default file only yields “times.json” (see attached pictures) Can’t figure out why in the new profile the 93apdn.. file isn’t the default, and not the s2p4q…

I feel the problem may be that I don’t understand why the 93apdn..default has (only) times.json, and that the .ini file lists it as the default.

It seemed so easy before, I never had to use Export/Import, it was so much easier to just replace the profile. I know it’s a known issue because others have mentioned it since an update of TB.

Hi, I have all kinds of ad blockers in my Firefox and today I logged into my music only to have ads coming in one after another. This happened once before a couple of years ago and some how after I complained the ads disappeared again. Now I need the same help.

Hello! I have used Thunderbird for many years. Lately, it waits much too long to prompt compacting all accounts. When "Compact all folders when it will save over ..." is set down to 1MB total, it still does not prompt until it has to clear 30 or 40 MB.

It didn't do this in the past, prompting me every 2 or 3 days at higher settings. So, I'm curious if this is "normal" now and I need to manually compact, or if there is a problem with 'Account Settings > Disk Space > Compact all folders' ... ?

Translation languages related issues. Firefox doesn't contained all the languages to translate page. This is a big mistake by your developer. Now a days most of browser translate pages into Hindi and Gujarati language. Fix this or I've to go back to use Google Chrome browser as before.

On various websites with embedded podcasts, when the file goes past 1h the volume 'slider' goes away and becomes a basic mute/unmute button. How can i force Firefox to always display the volume slider?

For some reason Firefox remembered my phone number and is now trying to use it as a login when I attempt to login or register in any service. I've checked my saved passwords and autofill data, but I cannot find it, there's only usernames and passwords, and I have no saved autofill data, no phone number. Where can I look for it to remove it?

I'm baffled by the statement of my Browser being managed by my organization since I am a single, non connected entity and have no organization, nor do I want one. I want control since I'm the one paying for it's use. Can you explain how to return control to me and only me? Thanks, KG

Somehow, an additional field has been added to my new message page which contains a bar with information on paragraph. fonts bold, text formation , etc. I do not want this there as I can not send the new email and I can not remove it. I just want to go back to thae way it has always been (default)

I can change font size in general via Firefox settings, BUT! whenever I want to download a file from any given website, the download window that appears, in which I can navigate to a folder on my computer and choose a name for the file, has such super small font!!! And to make it worse, the text largely is in a soft gray rather than a nice strong black!

SO hard to read.

I would love an easy way to make this font always bigger for all these situations. If anyone can provide the solution I'm super grateful!
