I have my calendar from mailbox.org synchronized with my thunderbird via CardDav/CalDav. I have multiple calendars in the same account (e.g. work, free time, brithdays, ...). I cannot change in which calendar an event is saved after I created it.

How to reproduce: Edit an allready existing event and change its calendar (e.g. from "free time" to my "work" calendar).

Expected behaviour: The edited event is now moved to the other calendar.

Observed behaviour: The event is not moved (any other changes to the event are saved though).

It is not the fault of my provider as it works on my phone and on their web app.

This is either a bug in any of two ways:

  • It does not change calendars events but it should.
  • You are not supposed to be able to change the calendar afterwards and that means the selection of the calendars should be grayed out/ give you no option to save it.

(I know I can Ctrl+X and Ctrl+V it into a diffferent calendar, which I use at moment but that costs additional time.)

Thanks for any help with this :)

PS: I have to choose a topic but the calendar is not even part of that list. What is going on there?

When I receive an event invite and I accept it Thunderbird only gives me the option to save the event to a local calendar and not to any shared calendars located remotely on a NAS. Is there a way to have Thunderbird also display the remote calendars? And after I accept an event is there a way to move the accepted event to a different calendar? Thank you for your inputs in advance!

I use the Thunderbird calendar in version 147.0.1. The calendar syncs with CalDav and works great. Although when the reminder pop-up appears i am not able to snooze (postpone) an event or delete na event. Nothing happens and the reminder keeps popping up every 5 minutes (as in the settings) untill the event has passed. Even worse, when i enable show missed missed events, i cannot even delete the old events in the list.

Two questions:

1- Is it possible to assign defaults for ICS import so that you don't have to go through the wizard?

The reason for this wish is question two...

2- Why does the "Next" button in the import wizard appear in a different place in each step? I have a whole bunch of separate ICS files to import due to a workflow issue, and importing them is like playing whack-a-mole. It'd be a huge improvement if the "Next" button could stay in a consistent place so that even if defaults can't be set up, you can just click-click-click in one place without having to dance around with the mouse :)
