I'm not sure where to go with feature requests, I didn't find that at all on my mobile... But, let me shoot, and you shoot me down if I wasted your time.

1. I would like to be able to archive directly from the Android notification. That's currently not an option.
2. I would love to have the time stamped directory option for archiving that we have on desktop. Right now on Android we can only go the to the "archive" directory.

So, what I really do now, as I read most of my e-mails on mobile, but do some specific processing on desktop, is mark it either as read or archive it on mobile. Then I go to desktop and archive it again...

I am experiencing an issue where the built-in debugging features in Thunderbird for Android are not working as expected. I am trying to troubleshoot an issue, but the debugger is failing to generate or export useful information. Steps to Reproduce:Open Thunderbird for Android and navigate to Settings -> General settings -> Debugging.Toggle on Enable debug logging.Replicate the issue I am trying to troubleshoot.Return to the Debugging menu and tap Export logs.Expected Behavior:The app should successfully export a text file containing the local IMAP/POP3 commands, synchronization records, and error outputs.

contains no useful debugging .The application freezes or crashes as soon as I try to export the logs.Does anyone know if this is a known limitation of the release build, or if there is a specific configuration step I missed to get the debugger working? This is observed on Pixel 9 Pro. Running Thunderbird v21 from F-Droid.

Not sure if this is in the latest update, but if I select a message, the top of the screen (where we are notifications and battery level) turns into a black bar. This happens in, both, the unified mailbox and a specific mailbox.

Is this a bug or normal behaviour?

Mail notifications remains on the home screen and need to be removed manually. I had expected them to be removed after reading the mail or marking it as read. A notification summary with the number of received mails instead of a notification for each mail, as an option, would have been nice. /Sten

I would like to report what appears to be a bug in Thunderbird for Android.

I use a POP3 account with the following settings:

POP3 Port 995 SSL/TLS

The same account works correctly in Thunderbird for Windows.

The problem only occurs in Thunderbird for Android.

What happens:

New emails arrive and are initially displayed in Thunderbird for Android. After the next synchronization, some messages disappear from the Inbox. The messages are not deleted from the server because they are still visible in Thunderbird for Windows. I also tested the same POP3 account in Samsung Email on the same Android phone. Samsung Email continues to show the messages correctly while Thunderbird for Android no longer shows them.

Troubleshooting already performed:

Reinstalled Thunderbird for Android. Removed and added the account again. Tested on both my Android phone and Android tablet. The same problem occurs on both devices.

Is this a known issue with POP3 accounts, or is there another setting I should check?

It is very painful to move each email message at a time to another folder. There is a requirement for selecting multiple messages and moving them to a folder. Want to know if this feature is available and if not would like to request it.

I realize that I can select all the messages in either the trash or the spam folder and then delete them, but the empty trash button does not work in version 21.0. it worked perfectly in the prior versions.

When moving emails to folders, it is very difficult to find a folder in a long list of folders. Is there a way to mark frequently used folders as favorites so they appear at the top of the folder list?

The options for my folders are all generic

I am using a Gmail account

I have folders

Specific folders

They only option Thunderbird is giving me is none

My email provider sometimes fails to send mail, so I find the mail that didn't send in the sending box (发件箱; I don't know the name in English), use the "edit as new mail" option in the mail 3-dot menu (there's a pencil icon on the top of the screen, but it has no reaction) and tap send button again. I find that every time I do this, the mail's sender identity is reset to the default identity.

I know my Thunderbird version is not latest and is beta, but I'm hesitant about updating. Is it a bug or designed behavior?

Steps to reproduce: 1. Turn off your device's network. 2. Compose and send a mail with an identity that's not the default. 3. Find the mail in the sending box, and choose "edit as new mail". 4. Hit send button. 5. View mail in sending box, it now uses the default identity.

Running version 21.0 on Android 17.

Emptied my trash just this morning. Worked fine. Went to do it tonight, said yes to the confirmation and it just sat there. No deletion. Sent a test message from another acct and that arrived fine, so it's not having problems accessing my server via IMAP.

As of recently I can not use the "Empty Spam" or "Empty Trash" options I have to literally select all items in the trash it junk/spam folder and hit the trash button.

Any suggestions?

I'm using thunderbird android with a Gmail account. Using search only yields results from the past weeks. Triggering a server side search yields nothing. If I execute the same search on Gmail I get many results. Is it a config issue or a bug?
