Keyboard focus properly defaults to the address bar for new normal windows, and new tabs both normal and private. It is ONLY in new private windows that the address bar does not auto-grab keyboard input.
The address bar is highlighted as though it SHOULD have input focus, but typing does nothing until I click in the address bar manually.
This is unfathomably annoying. I've tried fiddling with various settings in about:config, and I've tried running in troubleshoot mode to rule out extensions causing the issue. Also tried a fresh firefox profile and the issue persisted.

How can I customize recommended stories so that only articles that require a sign-in to be viewed not be shown to me. If I see a story title that looks interesting and I select it and a sign in page immediately pops up (all of which I do not wish to sign up for just to read a short article) then it feels like another privacy grab.
Suggestion: Please don't post articles on Ten Tabs that go directly to a paywall.

When you got rid of Brendan Eich I thought very little about it. The Internet is for everyone they said. Now it is 2026 and "Recommended stories" has hard core leftist publishers but no right wing publishers. I've been using Mozilla and Firefox since long before 1.0 when it had to be compiled. I hosted the compilations at my expense and gave it away to new users so that they could enjoy the WWW.
I think I'm just fed up with the left, and in turn I am fed up with Mozilla / Firefox.

I tried changing "settings > home" to not save shortcuts, which works. But even if I PIN those shortcuts I want to keep, they still get deleted. How do I fix this?
With selected background Firefox (3-rd in the upper row) it shows me scroll bar and a thin line on the left side.

Hello. i noticed that my shortcuts are missing. i went to settings to check if it's enabled (check mark) and it is in fact enabled. tried to reset my computer and the shortcuts are still not there. on the main firefox page there is actually no shortcut icons on there...at all. all of the options in settings work with the exception (of course) the shortcuts. i would like to know why this is happening...thx

Хочу заметить что у меня включена функция Handoff и она мне удобна, но мне неприятно видеть блок с ярлыками и строкой не по центру. Я использую тему ffultima, скажу еще раз, вчера все было нормально. I have made so many changes to about:config true to false false to true firefox will probably never work again properly. There should be a check box somewhere in settings to toggle this on and off. Newer is not always better
