can no longer access imdb.com - problem started after last firefox update - have tried everything - sometimes get message "Max challenge attempts exceeded. Please refresh the page to try again!" I refresh, but same problem. running Windows 11 - google search engine

Firefox browser does not open when I click on the short cup. Instead it opens 2 small windows, one is a website I visited previously and the other is Firefox settings. Why is this happening? I have Windows 10 on my computer but that should not have anything to do with the Firefox browser or search engine not opening. When it opened the small screen that only showed Firefox settings I clicked it to open in full screen and now there is no option to make the screen smaller or exit the Mozilla support page. And, now with this full screen I can't even do a screen shot to show you what I am talking about. Does anybody know what is going on with this?

I subscribe to MarketSurge, a stock data platform. It has run reliably on Firefox until last week. When I enter a stock symbol it brings up this error, and does not give the requested stock data from the MarketSurge live data platform. "[Autosuggest API Error] Failed to load info for symbol 'TTMI' ".

Has anyone seen that error before? Does it suggest a conflict within Firefox?

I have tried many things to troubleshoot and find the cause within Firefox, its settings and variations, and with Win 10. Nothing resolved. However, executing the Marketsurge platform in Chrome does not have a problem.

Background & Details: 1) Win 10 pc. with current updates. Firefox browser with current updates. 2)Firefox cache, history, and browsing deleted. Standard protection setting off. 3)Vpn off.

I would be deeply grateful for any insights re:Firefox that might be causing this problem, which did not exist prior to last week.

Hey everyone!

I just noticed that post FF's 150 update, I can no longer drag and drop folders into my DSM window. This has been a non issue for over 6 years and all of a sudden, poof. I did find that you can still to this on Safari, but long term, Mozilla and Synology need to address this. There's already a post on the Synology fourms about it and I've emailed their Support Team to see what they have to day. Posting this here in case anyone has found a workaround in the Config settings pane.

As described, firefox is entirely not working for any website. This happened after my computer crashed (hardware problem) and I restarted twice, but could be related to a firefox update that was waiting for me to restart.

Hello, I cannot open my browser. I did try Microsoft edge and that one worked....but I want my Firefox one! I did reset my modem. Can you help me please?

For some time now, when opening Firefox, I do not find the tabs I opened in the previous session. I've checked that the "Open previous windows and tabs" box is checked, but it didn't help. I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it from a fresh .EXE file, but that didn't work either. I've searched for resources on the subject but haven't found a solution to my problem. I should mention that I'm not a computer expert and I'm not exactly young any more.

Can anyone help me?

It was announced under update 150.0.1 that a 50GB Free monthly VPN was available, however this is not the case in Brazil.

Is this a bug? Is there a due data for the activation? Is there any farther configuration needed to make it work?

Problem: When downloading a file from a web page, the list of files and folders in the Download Panel are sorted such that file names and folder names are intermingled, rather than the "standard" folders first, then files.

Discussion: This problem has been happening for a bit now (probably 2 - 3 months or more). Unfortunately, I don't recall exactly which version of Firefox this originally showed up in. At some point recently, the default sort for the Download Panel changed, so that instead of listing folders at the top of the list of download targets, then listing files, now all items are interspersed. For example, previously selecting to download a file from a web page would give the Download Panel contents as:

AFolder BFolder CFolder AFile.txt BFile.pdf CFile.jpg

Now, the list presents as:

AFile.txt AFolder BFile.pdf BFolder CFile.jpb CFolder

I would like to go back to the previous sorting behavior, but I cannot find a way to do this. I have searched the Mozilla help articles without turning up relevant information, and I have searched the internet for web sites that might list relevant information, but either the information I am seeking is not out there (unlikely) or I am not coming up with search terms that locate the information (much more likely).

I am not even 100% sure that this is a Firefox problem (it is within the bounds of possibility that it is an OS problem), but none of my other regularly used programs show the symptom, so it would seem odd to me for it to be something other than a Firefox problem.

I would appreciate any pointers (web pages, help articles, or even just "change this in about:config) on how to resolve this.

I am not a fan of this new change. All my bookmarks are gone when I open Firefox. I want to see the news and not this; it's hard to find anything. The old Firefox I had two days ago was just fine. Someone always has to change something to make things harder for us old people.

I am attempting to use Firefox's new built-in VPN to hide my browsing and use sites that are restricted like Reddit on a common wifi while I am on breaks. It worked on these common wifi systems for a little bit, but last week I believe, it just stopped working one day. Try connecting on a different device. Check your modem or router. Disconnect and reconnect to Wi-Fi. ~~~~~ I was originally running Firefox 149 via snap on Ubuntu, but I just uninstalled the snap package and switched to 150.0.1 via the Mozilla APT repository and I am getting identical behavior. Is this just a bug, or is it possible the administrator here has explicitly blocked Firefox VPN? Is there anything else I can do about it, since connecting on a different device doesn't help me, I can't check the modem or router, and disconnecting and reconnecting does nothing?

When a site asks for my address, I try to choose one from the drop-down menu of addresses offered, but it firstly prints my address in the address window and then, when I press enter or do anything whatever, it deletes everything in the address window. Worse than that, if I try to ignore the dropdown list offered, and try to type in my own address, it deletes it.

This behaviour continues, no matter what I try to do do trick it into either (a) filling in my address, or (b) using the offered addresses in the drop-down menu. I.e. there is nothing I can do to ever get an address to stay in the address window and give me a fully filled out form - the address window always ends up empty.

I've tried to alter the settings, telling it to ignore the automatic filling in and remembering of addresses, but I can't turn this address-killer feature off.
