Hello,
The Firefox settings panel does not include an option to disable [[JavaScript settings and preferences for interactive web pages|JavaScript]] but you can still disable it using the [[Configuration Editor for Firefox|Firefox Configuration Editor]] (about:config page) or by installing an add-on.
To use the about:config page,
# In the address bar, type '''about:config''' and press Enter.
# Click on {button I accept the risk!}
# In the search bar, search for ''javascript.enabled''.
# Right click the result named ''javascript.enabled ''and click on "Toggle". JavaScript is now disabled.
To Re-enable JavaScript, repeat those steps.
You can also use an add-on to disable JavaScript, for example:
'''(Compatible with Firefox 57+)'''<br>
* [https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/javascript-toggler/ JavaScript Toggle On and Off (WebExtension)]
* [https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/javascript-control/ Javascript Control]
* [https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/whitelist-javascript/ Whitelist or Blacklist JavaScript]
'''(Firefox 56 and below)'''<br>
The following add-ons also let you disable JavaScript; however, they're not currently compatible in Firefox Quantum (version 57):
*[https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/noscript/ No-Script] (to disable JavaScript on a per page basis, as required)
*[https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/quickjava/ QuickJava] (to easily disable and enable JavaScript, automatic loading of images, and other content)
*[https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/settingsanity/ SettingSanity] (adds back removed options for JavaScript, Advanced JavaScript Settings, loading images, and showing the Tab Bar)
Thank you and I hope this helps!
