Hello,
The Firefox settings panel does not include an option to disable JavaScript but you can still disable it using the Firefox Configuration Editor (about:config page) or by installing an add-on.
about:config
# In the address bar, type about:config and press Enter.
# Click "I accept the risk!"
# In the search bar, search for "javascript.enabled" (with no quotes).
# Right click the result named "javascript.enabled" and click "Toggle". JavaScript is now disabled.
To Re-enable JavaScript, repeat those steps.
Add-ons
You can alternatively install an add-on that lets you disable JavaScript, such as
*No-Script (to disable JavaScript on a per page basis, as required)
*QuickJava (to easily disable and enable JavaScript, automatic loading of images, and other content)
*SettingSanity (adds back removed options for JavaScript, Advanced JavaScript Settings, loading images, and showing the Tab Bar)
Thank you and I hope this helps!
Hello,
The Firefox settings panel does not include an option to disable JavaScript but you can still disable it using the Firefox Configuration Editor (about:config page) or by installing an add-on.
To use the about:config page,
# In the address bar, type about:config and press Enter.
# Click on {button I accept the risk!}
# In the search bar, search for javascript.enabled.
# Right click the result named javascript.enabled and click on "Toggle". JavaScript is now disabled.
To Re-enable JavaScript, repeat those steps.
You can also use an add-on to disable JavaScript, for example:
(Compatible with Firefox 57+)<br>
* JavaScript Toggle On and Off (WebExtension)
* Javascript Control
* Whitelist or Blacklist JavaScript
(Firefox 56 and below)<br>
The following add-ons also let you disable JavaScript; however, they're not currently compatible in Firefox Quantum (version 57):
*No-Script (to disable JavaScript on a per page basis, as required)
*QuickJava (to easily disable and enable JavaScript, automatic loading of images, and other content)
*SettingSanity (adds back removed options for JavaScript, Advanced JavaScript Settings, loading images, and showing the Tab Bar)
Thank you and I hope this helps!
