All my passwords are updated, Firefox is updated, computer is updated, I've restarted both my PC and Firefox, and I've double-checked that all the username and passwords are saved to the most recent. Usually when I click the area where you'd enter your username or password, it would prompt you to click and have it autofill. Hasn't been happening at all for me. Sometimes if I right click it then it'll give me the option to select it but it rarely gives me that option. I've been manually entering both and there would be a chance it prompts to autofill at least the password. I'm not sure if I'm missing something or maybe overlooking an option? I do have everything switched on in settings for it to autofill on it's own but it still doesn't do it like it used to. Is there anything I might be overlooking or completely missing?

After updating Firefox on my Samsung galaxy s26 phone my saved password will no longer load automatically when I visit a website. This problem did not exist prior to the update

I am setting up a new Android phone but can't get my password into an app. The log-on credentials are stored in Firefox. Is this normal? Is it a property of the individual app? Is there anything I can do to facilitate Firefox auto-populating an app log-on fields?

I've seen this on a few sites and it sounds like this person also experienced this. It happens on Linux and Window. I don't think it's a new bug/behavior.

I'll use vanguard.com as an example.

1. Visit investor.vanguard.com site. Click that you'd like to log on. 2. I'll be placed on a login.vanguard.com page that displays a Username field and a Password field. Because I've logged in before, those fields are yellow and filled in with the proper values. (In the case of the password field, it's all stars, but when I click to reveal the password, it's the correct password.) 3. Click on the "Log In". 4. The browser rerenders the page claiming that the userid or password is wrong.

But if I follow the above steps, but add a step:

2.5. I slightly edit both (one is not sufficient) fields, removing a character and putting it back in so the values are edited but not changed. As I do this the fields become white instead of yellow.

Now when I reach step (4), I'm actually logged in without complaints.

The underlying AJAX request is pretty cryptic, so I can't quickly spot/debug what happens at that level, but I assume the page is not passing the field values visible as yellow. on the page.

Am I misunderstanding how the yellow auto-fill works? (On most sites it works as I expected and no reediting the autofilled fields is necessary.)

Can this be fixed or should I put up with it?

I save all my passwords to my firefox.

I created a password for privileged access to my firefox at configuration time at some service. Recently (about half a year ago!) I created a new user at the same service (the same domain). The new login was used two times and is now stalled to log-in. It was simply a monitoring user.

Each time I visit the domain I get prompted with the monitoring user instead. I can not simply focus the username and select my previous user from the drop-down. Nor does firefox-password learn my preference (which is a good thing, I guess).

Nonetheless: I have to delete the username, write the first character of my user and then I can select my password. I find it cumbersome since I do this multiple times a day.

Imho there are privacy solutions which could be applied. I don't see any existing options in the UI.

I open a window on chatgpt.com. I clic on "connexion" to connect me. on the new page, I clic in the field used to connect with a mail address. there is the dashlane icon in it. normally, a subwindow opens, showing the differents identifiants I can use, I clic on the one I choose, but now, this subwindow appears AND disapears immediately, it is not possible to clic on it, it is so fast it is not possible to read in it. this is very new, a few days only. I gave the latests versions of dashlane (6.2637) and firefox (155.0.1). the last version od dashlane was installed the 3 od september, and it has well worked after. Nota : I have also a smaller problem with webmail (of free), the identifiant field is well done, but not the password field.

After recent Firefox update in v 154, saved passwords do not auto-fill in all websites. Actually, not even the username is loaded. I tried to open in troubleshoot mode and didn't work too. I tried to log out and re-login and fixed for a while only. Then same issue re-occurred. In websites where I have multiple accounts it's too hard to find the proper one. In the Settings > Passwords everything is enabled.

I have no saved passwords, yet on some sites that require a login, a selection box shows a couple of choices for a user name/id for me to select. How do I clear these or stop the popup. It';s annoying. Thanks

Every time I log into my computer Firefox opens up Let's see Google Drive or app or something and wants me to login on my old paul@Skycastleconstruction.com account. I need this removed completely before we simply delete firefox

FOR SOME REASON FIREFOX TAKES AN ETERNITY TO POPULATE PASSWORDS AND USERNAMES IN FIELDS AFTER THE SECOND TO LAST UPDATE. VERY FEW TIMES IT DOESN'T EVEN BOTHER WHEN YOU CLICK THE FIELDS.

THIS HAPPENS ON ALL FIELDS INDISCRIMINATELY. LIKE IT'S TAKING MORE PROCESSING TIME OR SOMETHING. FIREFOX IS GETTING HEAVIER WITH EVERY UPDATE ISN'T IT.

Please fix the autofill feature to allow preferred password managers to work in the app! It's infuriating when developers don't bother to follow the guidelines and do as they please or purposely try and doge the guardrails. Please follow the native Credential Manager integration guidelines.

The popup appears and when cancelled will reappear after some time then repeat.

This popup appears to have a mind of it's own and should only appear "on click" into a password request box.

This is very annoying and whenever it appears the page being used will not function until the popup is cancelled.

Today autofill stopped working, 154.0b2 (64-bit).

I'm on the beta update channel.

The password saver and autofill has worked for me for many years. However, recently (08/18/2026) on many login pages that I regularly use, it will not !! I did discover that, if I supply the first character of the USERNAME, only then Firefox will supply the rest.
