I need assistance resolving an issue where videos on YouTube play choppily in Firefox. The playback stutters frequently, even at lower resolutions, while other browsers stream smoothly. I’d appreciate guidance on troubleshooting steps to improve video performance—such as checking hardware acceleration, browser settings, or possible extensions causing the issue.

Hello! I'm having an issue specifically in Firefox Developer Edition only. Whenever I set a video to go fullscreen from any domain/service, little strips on the top of left of the fullscreen video show my desktop (shown in attached screenshot). I've tested this in regular Firefox as well as Google Chrome and fullscreen videos work just fine on both of those browsers.

Before this current version update, this problem would happen the first time putting a video in fullscreen, but every subsequent attempt during the same browser session would not have the issue. However, I'm now unable to achieve a true fullscreen video in Firefox Developer Edition no matter how many times I try.

Currently on version 145.0b3 (64-bit)

How to fully load a 1-hour long video directly? Now when watching videos, only a short section can be loaded, and it will stop loading after about 5 minutes. After watching the video, the subsequent content will continue to load. How to fully buffer a video in the background while pausing it?

For the last two years the issues with video stutter have been worse and worse for me. I don't know if it is because of a different codec the video is using, but if it was I would expect the fans to ramp up from trying to decode it. Instead, my laptop stays always silent, but the video laggs like crazy when I want to play it at native 1440p.

I cannot view or change the video codec, since the current issue happens on a platform (herohero.com) other than youtube.

i used to be able to scroll down in full screen and with the new version i can't and i used to be able to see the queue list and now i can't !!

I seem to get really high CPU and memory usage only when I run youtube on Firefox. This issue never happened before. How can I fix this?

Why am I not able to get sound when watching a video while connected to the internet? If I use Chrome or Edge the sound is fine. Could it be an incorrect setting? Or is this a common problem you are already aware of?
