Why has either the Firefox 5.0.1 update or the Twitter for Firefox add-on cut off the left edge of my back button, leftmost tab & bookmark button etc? Not a massive problem for functionality but visually it's very frustrating.

Since updating to 5.0.1, or installing the Twitter Search for Firefox add-on, the UI has cut off the left side of my search bar, leftmost toolbar bookmark button, first tab etc, yet the close window/minimise/maximise buttons remain in the same place. See pic for further clarification.

Try to remove the Firefox plist file.

  • Go to "Library > Preferences" and remove the plist file for Firefox (org.mozilla.firefox.plist).

You can also try to delete the file localstore.rdf.
