Recently it's a daily occurrence that I must enter the password for my SMTP server. I always check "Use Password Manager to remember this password" but it doesn't help. The next day I'll have to go through this again.

I power on my machine multiple times each day, and I use Thunderbird each time. It doesn't happen each time. It seems to happen only the first time I use Thunderbird each day. This is new behavior. Before it would happen now and then, now it's daily.

I don't have a Primary Password. No need for it.

If you need to see the message I can send it to you, but I'm not attaching it right now because it shows my email address and the smtp destination. Maybe I'm being too careful.

When I tried to delete my old password in "Show Passwords" by highlighting my old password and hitting the backspace key to delete it and every time I click on the background or hit "Enter", it just pops back on where it was so I couldn't correct it without having to click "Remove all" which turned off the "Show Passwords" in "Saved Passwords".

I'm having so much trouble with Apple Mail and Thunderbird saving my password and I do have an Apple User Defined Password. So, I'm constantly having to input my password. Any suggestion would be deeply appreciated!

Trying to sign-in to my local library, but I'm not allowed to unless I save my library password to Firefox for them to 'manage'. I will manage my own password information. How do I say 'no' to this request?

Using Thunderbird to check emails and the calendar for an Infomaniak account: The account was active and working properly. After switching this account to 2FA, Thunderbird consistently requested a username and password during synchronization. After some research, the solution is as follows: you need to create a new app password with Infomaniak, then ensure that Thunderbird saves the password and that the “Require device authentication...” option is disabled. I went to Privacy and Security of the Thunderbird. I went to saved passwords. I clicked on Show passwords. I had to edit the password before I delete that old password.

I have used Thunderbird for years. Suddenly it asks for my email account password every time I send an email message. What is the problem? The passwords for my email accounts have always been stored in my configuration and it never asked for them. Very annoying.

Thunderbird has not been downloading messages for primary email, [edited]@netscape.net, since March 4. I can't locate where in TB the password is stored for the account.

I keep losing my passwords in Firefox. I attempt to save a password withe the drop down menu, after checking I see that it is save but a short time later the password is no longer there! I have all the box's checked to save passwords but again they are no longer there! Any help would be most appreciated, Thank you T Wolf
