Example why question is being asked:

Three separate GMX email accounts, each with its own unique password, and NOW Application-specific password for Thunderbird. Aliases are not used or desired. Three different separate accounts that should each have its own outgoing server.

Worked fine until updates to Thunderbird and changes to the GMX server, and Application-specific passwords became a requirement to send and receive email.

Seems like updates to nearly every program and/or app that may be released with the intent to resolve an issue or include a new feature breaks something else. M$ is horrible with updates and labels nearly everything as a critical update so it gets pushed through even when updates are turned off or supposedly permanently disabled by a registry hack; Windows 11 being the absolute worse ever. Why I only have one computer with M$ while all the others are Linux. Problems all the time with M$ while Linux simply continues to work.

Regardless, can setup each GMX account but the default email account name must be used as the user name on the other two GMX accounts on the outgoing server in order to send email. Then the recipient sees the name for the default account rather than the name assigned to the other two accounts, and the Application-specific password for Thunderbird must be changed to that of the default. Then attempting to pull down email for the other two pop accounts comes to a halt, and email messages can only be viewed by going to the online account.

Two separate accounts for yahoo, two for gmail, and one for Charter work fine, each has its own name and outgoing server. Should be the same way for GMX but is not because Thunderbird requires one of the three GMX accounts is set to Default.

Appears by having a Default email account, users are not only restricted by the default account, but email that is sent is done so with he incorrect name, The purpose for three different emails is for email segregation and better management; personal correspondence, business related, and Internet stuff.

Instead of having a 'Default' email account, makes more sense to use a valid email to register Thunderbird after downloading and installing, and then using that email for Support, Boards, assistance, etc. The default email requirement causes too many frustrating unneeded issues that should not occur, along with wasted time, stress and grief. Computers were suppose to make our lives easier and allow us more time for the real world. Biggest lie told since the Bell Labs created the transistor.

Prime Video is unusable on Firefox since the latest two updates. The website freezes. Videos don't run. When I change the settings as has been suggested either the problem remains the same, with lack of loading, or videos are unavailable. I have read and done whatever has been mentioned in the past, so my only conclusion is that Firefox does not support Amazon Prime Video, as well as the Amazon website. The option I have now if I want to watch Prime Video is to run it on Safari. I look forward to Firefox fixing this issue. I just want it to work as it had done in prior updates. I don't need to continue to alter settings when it is obvious, to me at least, the problem doesn't lie with the settings, because none of them work. Thank you for your time and consideration.

I cant stand the new sidebar and the revamp false has kept me in firefox. Now its stuck with padding on the outside, padding on the inside even with NOVA turned off. I have gone back to firefox 157 for now.

Is there anyone forking firefox away from all this curvy padded UI. This is very unpleasant.

I have used the jeffersonscher scrounger before and it worked well. I get the jsonlz4 file from the session store backup folder and it generates all of the text that does not have what I need. I click the scrounge urls' and it just sits saying processing forever. This is probably 200 tabs but will it take this long? I have a good pc. Using the older version it just comes up with results of "window" and no url list.

I use an ad blocke. This was rarely if ever a problem. However, now it seems that the majority of sites coming up in search results are blocking anyone using an ad blockerwith a pop up appearing requesting I allow ads .... Is there a way around this?

With the new update to the browser the vids for youtube keep flashing green and other websites have problems with videos to, i thought it might be a graphics issue here on my main pc but when i went on to my xbox ally x pc handheld youtube was working fine and as soon as i downloaded the latest firefox nightly update youtube had the same issue as my main pc

Since Firefox 157, each version is stealing more and more RAM. Why? My Windows XI, on HP with an AMD processor, are constantly losing more and RAM to Firefox. Is there any advice? Or must I suspend all updates?

I'm using Thunderbird 153.5.Oesr (64-bit) on a Linux machine (Zorin OS).

Most of my email addresses use POP, but with a new email address, I decided to use IMAP. When I'm disconnected from the internet, that particular email address keeps checking for new emails and saying it can't connect. I don't WANT it to connect. A message pops up every few seconds or so and is very annoying. I need to unplug my ethernet cable/adaptor periodically, since it seems to overheat, so keeping it connected to the internet continually won't work.

I have un-selected the boxes in Server Settings to check for messages. See the images below.

Why firefox android does not open multiple tabs at once ( on one click)?

FOR EXAMPLE: I HAVE LIST OF 100 URLS WHICH I NEED TO OPEN AT ONCE ( ON ONE CLICK). FIREFOX ANDROID DOES NOT ALLOW IT? WHY? TILL WHEN?

Not sure if this extension is deprecated (last update was 6 years ago (Sep 17, 2020) 🤦🏽♂) but I wanted to know if this official extension is supposed to have sync support. Notepad is a simple little tool that is very valuable for its "basicness" (like stickies on mac, or note pads on windows). While the extension works locally, it seems not to be included in the suite of sync options currently offered under settings. At the moment, any notes taken on various computers using the same profile do not sync.

Help! I added a new email to my Google Business Workspace account, and now I cannot log in to my personal Gmail account, smitchell77@toromail.csudh.edu, in Firefox. It keeps sending me to a page to start a Workspace account again! How can I access my Gmail account?

On my Firefox Home Page, I selected two rows of PINNED shortcuts. Each time I open a webpage that webpage is added not only to the two selected rows of shortcuts, but "keeps" EVERY webpage selected after filling the two selected shortcut rows. It is not only annoying and inconvenient, but s l o w s work time to a crawl around these shortcuts ... few, if any, are helpful. If I want to re-entry an UNPINNED shortcuts, I go to history and select the one I want. WHEN is Fire Fox to solve this seemingly simple but annoying problem?

I have read the topic "Microsoft EWS to Graph Migration October 2026". I have followed the instructions meticulously MULTIPLE TIMES. Unfortunately for me, it DOES NOT WORK!! After deleting the EWS account, I proceed to create the new Graph account, but it fails (has failed) EACH AND EVERY TIME I've tried it. I finally had to give up, and restore/re-install/setup the Thunderbird EWS version. The failure reported on each failure was an "authentication failure".

My OS is macOS Tahoe 26.7.1; My Thunderbird version is 158.0. This is distressing! If there is an issue, I would expect T'bird to belay the update until the issues were fixed. If there is a "trick" required, I would appreciate someone sharing it with me. I'm aware that the causes of these issues is "Microsoft Incompetence", but AFAIK incompetence is not "contagious" - I don't understand T'bird/Mozilla releasing a fix with detailed procedures without testing.

EDIT: One other piece of information that may or may not be useful. The article "Microsoft EWS to Graph Migration October 2026" mentions a "Microsoft 365/Exchange Online email account". My account is an "Exchange Server" account; the Exchange server is hosted by Microsoft.
