When I try to forward an email with an attachment on mobile I get an error that's not fully visible saying "Some attachments could not be forwarded because they have not be...' (I tried rotating the screen to see if it expands but it's the same unfortunately). It works fine on the desktop app, and it also works fine if I manually download the attachment and then draft an email and attach it.

Does anyone know if this is common, or how I can bypass it? I tried but couldn't find any info on this behavior.

Every 10 minutes, your Thunderbird app generates an attachment (nmsa) that McAfee deems a Trojan and quarantines it. I get 15-20 popups from mcafee every hour. If I close Thunderbird it stops. What can i do to stop this from happening?

I have an issue when trying to forward an email that contains an attachment. I receive the following error message:

"Sending of the message failed. There was an error attaching the file. Please check that you have access to the file."

I am using Thunderbird version 152 on Windows 10 Pro.

This issue only occurs when forwarding emails with attachments. Other email functions appear to work normally. Has anyone else encountered this issue? I would appreciate any help or suggestions. Thank you in advance.

"Показывать вложения в теле сообщения" для pdf на работает. Включение отключение опции никак не влияет. Через настройки включал параметр mail.inline_attachments.text в true и перезапускал приложение - не помогает.

I can't highlight words on attachments, they open in a window, if I left click and try to copy words nothing is highlighted, so invisable highlights, it does copy if I right click and copy, but you can't see what you are copying!

I can print e-mail, but not the attachmnet since yesterday. So I contacted HP-support, but it is not the printer. The last attachment I printed was before the last update of thunderbird. What can i do?

Suddenly since Friday 21.08.2026 morning every single person in our company started to call the IT department that their Thunderbird client is printing out blank pages (white pages) instead of attachments from emails.

What is happening -> Employee gets email with PDF attachment -> clicks to open it in thunderbird print preview -> prints -> blank page comes out.

What works -> Downloading the PDF and printing it. Opening the PDF in any other browser than Thunderbird and printing it.

No settings or updates were changed and it's a big issue affecting multiple computers.

What I tried doing -> Trying different printer (No fix), Resetting print settings in thunderbird (No fix). Trying other PDF attachments from older emails (No fix). Looking at print settings in windows (Which I didn't change since it only doesnt work in Thunderbird).

Problem is that on thunderbird in my office, This doesn't happen. We have the same versions and settings.

I tried opening the error console while opening the PDF and on computers where it doesnt work it shows me an error with along the lines of "This document is open in compability mode due to **** header <doctype html>" Something like that but i would have to check again.

I don't get this error on my personal PC.

Something seems to have changed recently with the PDF rendering in Thunderbird. I received an email with a PDF file attached. When I view it on the screen it looks fine, but when printing it out from within Thunderbird part of the top of the first page missing; it looks like part of the image is behind a white rectangle.

When I save the file and print it using Acrobat Reader it renders fine.

I don't know what to make of this behavior, but it does seem to be new and there is a difference between how the file is printed from Thunderbird as opposed to printing using Adobe Reader.

Thunderbird 152.0.1 on Windows 11 PC.

При пересылке полученного письма с вложениями от абонента (у абонента почтовый клиент от компании 1С) вложения исчезают. Выяснили, что когда письмо отправляется из 1С "Content-Type: multipart/mixed" , Thunderbird не распознает данный параметр и поэтому удаляет вложения.

Подскажите, какие настройки сделать в почтовом клиенте, чтобы вложения не пропадали?

Dzień dobry, Zgłaszam powtarzający się błąd w programie Thunderbird. Mam problem z drukowaniem załączników w formacie PDF bezpośrednio z okna wiadomości e-mail. Opis problemu: Podczas próby wydruku załącznika PDF, w oknie podglądu pojawia się czarny ekran z komunikatem, że aplikacja nie obsługuje podglądu. Po kliknięciu „Drukuj”, drukarka wypuszcza całkowicie puste, białe kartki. Środowisko: System operacyjny: Windows 11 Drukarka: Canon MF450 Series UFR II Ważne informacje: Drukarka jest w 100% sprawna. Drukowanie tych samych plików PDF po zapisaniu ich na dysku (przez przeglądarkę, Adobe Acrobat) działa bez najmniejszego problemu. Problem występuje wyłącznie wewnątrz Thunderbirda. Co już próbowałam zrobić (bez skutku): Uruchomienie programu w trybie rozwiązywania problemów (Safe Mode). Czyszczenie pamięci podręcznej (cache). Resetowanie ustawień profilu drukarki w Edytorze ustawień (usunięcie parametrów print_printer). Wymuszenie systemowego okna dialogowego przez zmianę print.prefer_system_dialog na true. Wyłączenie zaawansowanych funkcji drukowania w sterowniku Windows i zmiana trybu na rastrowy. Wygląda na to, że wbudowany silnik czytnika PDF w Thunderbirdzie przestał poprawnie komunikować się ze sterownikiem Canon UFR II. Będę wdzięczna za zbadanie tego błędu i pomoc, ponieważ drukowanie bezpośrednio z programu jest mi niezbędne do codziennej pracy. Z poważaniem, Alina

I've found out that on both Linux and Windows since the last update (154.0), the PDFs printed directly from the Thunderbird PDF viewer, prints out blank PDF.

To recreate this, open a PDF attachment in an email, simple double click on it, in the top right corner on the tool bar, press the little printer icon, choose either "Save as PDF" or print to the actual printer, in both cases, you will get one blank PDF page.

This isn't really about messaging, it's about attachment printing, but I can't find a better topic to file this under.

I get emails with PDF attachments dozens of times a month. When I print the PDF's, I always select "print headers & footers" and never had an issue until this morning. Now if I "print headers & footers" all I get is headers & footers, no portion of the PDF file is visible on the printout. If I unselect that, what I get is a blank page. Changing margins doesn't help. Changing the Scale doesn't help. Saving the files and then printing them from Adobe works fine, but obviously I don't want those extra steps and I DO want the headers & footers from Thunderbird.

Windows 11 home, 25H2 26200.9168 Thunderbird 154.0 64 bit, it auto-updated itself to this version sometime in the last day or two.

After doing the last update when I open a PDF file inside Thunderbird And I try to print I get blank pieces of paper but no print. Have tried re-installing printer but get the same results. Can you assist.

Can't drag and drop attachments from Thunderbird into file manager. I get a windows message box that says "Unspecified error" white cross on red circle. If I drag and drop with the control key held down it creates a file of zero length in the selected destination, It's not running as admin. Problem only just occurred.
