Updated to Firefox 152.0.1 and I've noticed about:privatebrowsing now has a very bright garish (subjective) purple background; I'd like to replace this with something else.

Here's what I've tried so far:

• Adding the css in this 2023 reddit post to my userchrome.css
• Fiddling with about:config, per Ty and James' replies in this similar 2022 question
• As a sanity check, directly editing the style element of the body tag in the inspector to check if `background-color: #424242` the css works. (obviously doesn't stick, see first point)
• As a second sanity check, changing the colour in the userchrome.css to fuchsia, as I'd read in older articles there'd sometimes be a flash of colour before something else was applied and bright pink is easier to see than grey
• Changing the Firefox theme from System theme (Auto) to Dark, Light, and then Firefox Alpenglow to see if that would change the background colour (it doesn't).

I do see that Alpenglow theme now matches about:privatebrowsing shockingly well, but it's not my preferred flavour of utilitarian blacks/dark greys.

Tried to show what I'm after, screenshot of about:privatebrowsing in a split view next to about:newtab. Other than above, the only other things in my userchrome.css are some styles to attempt to return curvy tabs edges.

I came to know about Firefox Widgets but can't see any on Firefox 152 on Windows 11 desktop. The option Allow Firefox to improve features, performance and stability between updates is already checked (Screenshot attached) as suggested by users.

Those instructions don't work and I'm sick of spending so much time on this problem these days.

Now thinking it happens after an update, which is a problem because they seem to come just days apart. None of the solutions offered works because right-clicking on the top doesn't do anything. Nor does going into the settings in the app on my laptop or online. I've downloaded and installed the latest version of Firefox more than once in the recent past. I've also shut down my laptop and rebooted. Nothing works. It's extremely annoying not to be able to access the features that I use *all the time*! day. I'm using a laptop with updated Windows 11.

I had my desktop computer set up so that al the text was bigger on every page website and I had a contrast theme set up that worked for my vision. But today there was an update, and now I cannot read anything in any of the tabs in the navigation bar. I also can't read any of the text in any dropdown menus for the tabs. It did not effect the size of type of web pages, but it is causing me real problems with navigation. How can I fix this?

I have two firefox icons on my menu bar. One has a star on it, which I understand why. Each morning the icon is blank. The other double icon is Photoshop Elements. I don't know what I did to have this happen. Is there a way to clear this up. I hope that you can clearly see what I mean with the picture I loaded. Thanks for any help

Since Firefox update,it has changed that much on my desktop ,How do I get RID OF Google search Bar from the Toolbar Section it was nver there before & it is a PAIN Thanks Darryl

I'm generally just wondering if it's possible to remove the profile icons present in the top right corner of the Firefox app, and how to go about doing it if possible. Thank you very much!

I just updated Firefox to version 152. Now my bookmarks toolbar is broken. Can't open any site from that toolbar. Also,, the pinned sites and folders are scrambled one over the other on the left (see picture).

On Chrome, if you have multiple profiles open on a Windows 11 PC, they each show up on the taskbar as separate things with the Chrome logo. Meanwhile, with Firefox, separate profiles open windows on the same taskbar icon and simply switch the profile icon. The picture gives an example of what I mean. I've censored some stuff on it, but know that the stuff in white is in one profile while the other has the stuff in black. The gray is unrelated stuff. Claude says Chrome does this by giving each profile a separate AppUserModelID, whatever that is. Is it possible to do the same in Firefox?

I have firefox on another PC with wallpaper I wish to install on my current firefox. I have identified its name = "Abstract". I have been using my userchrome.css for many years.

However, now Firefox ignores css style for all menu backgrounds after upgrading to v152.

However, now all my menu backgrounds (e.g File, Edit, Bookmarks, etc, see attached screenshot) are black with a see through background.

I would like to return to my original menu settings backgrounds. How do I do it please?

My menu bar is missing. The instructions I have is to click on the open application menu, go to Customize, at the bottom click on 'Toolbars' and then on the menu bar to make the change. I have searched using obvious words like 'customize', 'toolbar'. and 'menu bar', but all I get is 'Not found'. Am I missing something here?

On Firefox(Archlinux) i can't change website fonts. "firefox-151.0.4.tar.xz" https://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-latest-ssl&os=linux... can't either. Even though FF-snap and FF-flatpak can. How can i fix ?

My FFox browser has been invaded by PINK EVERYWHERE Get rid of it in the browser. The suggestions do not seem to do anything to get rid of this horrible color. TFFox 151.0.2 64

Black and white works fine in Menu Bar and web addresses when you finally get your act together.
