When I opened up Firefox this evening, websites stopped working if "DNS over HTTPS" is set to "Max Protection". In some instances, such as YouTube, the website loads, but it acts like you're offline and tells me to turn on my Wi-Fi even though it's already on and running fine. Weirdly, it seems that setting DNS over HTTPS to Max Protection, loading a website, set DNS over HTTPS to a lower setting, and then reloading the website fixes the issue, but it'd still be nice if we didn't have to go through the hassle at all. I tried transferring TB to new computer, nothing has worked. w11 TB148. Manually didn't work, tried coping from Troubleshooting Information/profiles. I don't know why there are 2 TB's? Under local and roaming but I tried. The video is out of date. It's a new install of TB so it opens with create account, both computers W11 and TG148! Please somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong? Zur Zeit verfolge ich die Änderungen bezüglich der externen Schlüsselverwaltung in Thunderbird-Beta, da das Arbeiten mit externen Schlüsseln in der esr- und in der relesease-Version von Thunderbird seit der offiziellen Herausgabe von gpg2.5.x absolut nicht mehr möglich ist! Die geheimen Schlüssel für das Entschlüsseln und Signieren werden mit gpg2.5.x nicht mehr gefunden!

In der Schlüsselverwaltung von TB-Beta befinden sich meine öffentlichen Schlüssel und alle öffentlichen Schlüssel meiner Kommunikationspartner. Extern sind meine geheimen Schlüssel gelagert. Folgende Präferenz wurde aufgrund von gpg2.5.x hinzugefügt:

Allerdings erscheint nach all diesen Maßnahmen die Fehlermeldung: "The secret key that's required to decrypt this message is not availlable."

Mit Herausgabe von Thunderbird/148.0 (release) sind dort die gleichen Probleme mit der externen Schlüsselverwaltung zu bepbachten!

Mit Versionen gpg < 2.5 funktioniert unter Windows alles problemlos!

UNTER LINUX haben hier Änderungen an der Präferenz: "mail.openpgp.load_untested_gpgme_version" nachweislich keinerlei Auswirkungen!

Was übersehe ich?

At the moment, I’m following the changes regarding external key management in Thunderbird Beta, because working with external keys in the ESR and release versions of Thunderbird has become absolutely impossible since the official release of gpg 2.5.x! The secret keys required for decryption and signing are no longer found when using gpg 2.5.x!

In Thunderbird Beta’s key manager, my public keys and all public keys of my communication partners are present. My secret keys are stored externally. The following preference was added because of gpg 2.5.x:

Why hasn't firefox 147.0.4 updated to firefox 148 ? The computer is windows 10 home 64 bit that is enrolled in extended security updates. The update has been released a few days ago I believe, in Canada,also I;m wondering if there is a button that is available in "about:config" that forces a update check. Thanks James

Walmart has abandoned passwords as 2nd id check. now they send email. I've requested re-send about 8 times. Still not appearing in my mail. How can i find if T=bird is filtering out ? Once I think I saw a notice show up for about 1/2 second and then it was gone.

hi, spellchecking works fine when using Firefox in Linux, but not in Windows 11. For instance, I can enter comments and replies to magazine articles while using Linux and they're spellchecked as I go by highlighting misspelled words etc, but if I'm in Windows 11 and on the same comments section, although my Firefox settings are the same the spellcheck doesn't happen. Can anyone please tell me what's up with that?

I'm finding that folders under my email heading are missing, until I find them completely out of alphabetical order. Then I move them to where they belong, and a day later they are somewhere else. How to correct this?

When entering search terms into the search bar in the centre of the page, the information typed appears in the address bar, even after following the fix described in 1284577.

Treating the address bar as the search bar appears to be the default. While the user can additionally deselect the search engine in the address bar, that is an unnecessary and undesired additional step for every search (the primary reason I am using Firefox)

Is there a way to permanently set the default for what I enter into the search bar to remain in the search bar and not to be managed by the address bar? Thanks, Rich
