After Firefox update on my win 11 laptop, I had to reset my Firefox custom homepage and all my search settings and all my security settings. This should not happen. I did not lose my bookmarks or anything else.

Had you set Windows to auto update or was it your manual choice?

You can use Settings > Account and sychronisation to make a back up for future use.
