Import current messages
Thunderbird does not import current messages from Gmail, it lags several hours behind. For example, Gmail will show new messages arriving at 9 am but Thunderbird shows most recent messages arriving at 12 am. I have checked settings and it seems like syncing is set correctly. Google Pixel 9a, Android v16.

Have you allowed the app to run in the background and excluded it from any android battery optimizations. Not doing so can often cause delay email synchronization.
