Inbox has red grid lines AND cannot "Reply"
Red grid lines have appeared in the inbox messages. ALSO, all other services are gone, like Reply, Print, etc.

You can try to change the Layout
Go to the View menu at the top of Thunderbird.
Select Layout.
Choose Table View. Maybe that help you.
To get your buttons back
Right-click on an empty space in the toolbar.
Select Customize... from the menu.
A new window will open showing all the available buttons. Find the buttons you want.
Drag and drop the buttons onto your toolbar.
