Facebook under Firefox has been slowing down for a couple of weeks - yesterday it was freezing for 2-5 minutes every time I scrolled. I read that clearing browser cache has helped some people, so I followed instructions and tried that (Minor annoyance was that I found I'd been logged out of every site I access, but I was able to log in again ) Slow Facebook Problem not cured, but a tremendous improvement - FaceBook & messaging is usable again. NEW PROBLEM STARTED at that time; NOW Thunderbird no longer downloads my emails, or sends any. I can log into the program, as normal, but no emails have downloaded, either automatically or manually polling, since the Firefox cache was cleared. I try to send a test email, and I get an "smtp.gmail.com error"
