New user: I installed Thunderbird and selected POP. Everything went fine during setup including message from Microsoft

Microsoft account New app(s) have access to your data Thunderbird connected to the Microsoft account W********@outlook.com.

When I click on done I receive the following:

"Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password

Not off to a good start.
