"View in browser" Desktop vs Android handling *.mht files

Incoming emails, especially newsletters, typically have a "View in browser" button or link or something similar to "if there are problems with how this email is displayed, click here to view it in a web browser".

Due to formatting issues with some email newsletters, I do want to open in my browser. Firefox is my default browser on my desktop and on my Android phone. The "view in browser" link never works on the desktop in all the years I've clicked the link. I checked my desktop computer's settings to make sure that .mht files are set to open in Firefox. They don't.

These files open in Firefox on my phone when I click the "view in browser" link.

Because I can zoom in as needed to enlarge documents and websites on my computer's 32" monitor and read them far more easily on that than I can on my 6" phone. For that and many other reasons, I do the majority of my work and play on my computer, not my phone.

What am I missing in not being able to open mht's in Firefox desktop app.

Current versions used: Win 10 (don't judge); FF: 141.0 Android 15; FF 141.0

Thanks for any insight,

MK
