The article mentioned above in my question only goes half-way. It tells me how to send my google calendar to my lightning calendar. I want to go the other way, that is, send my existing lightning calendar to my google calendar. How do I do that?

You would be using Lightning. This is the support site for Thunderbird and Lightning. If you were not using Lightning we would not be having this discussion. If you are asking to actually see the actual Lightning interface on your Android phone, that is not going to happen. A calendar image is a calendar image so I cannot see where that is a big deal. Pick a date, add an event and if you remember to select the gmail calendar when creating the event in Lightning it shows up in both places.

As I stated you can add multiple calendars into Lightning. You have the choice of making a local calendar or one that is out on the network like gmail.

They all display in Lightning when you view it.

Anything you add to a local calendar is just that, local to the PC you added it to.

If you want to view it both on your PC and your Android phone add it to the gmail calendar. You just have to add events you want to see on both devices to the gmail calendar which is a given when adding them from your phone but requires you to make a selection from a drop down list when adding them to Lightning.

If you make a mistake when adding it in Lightning and add it to the Home calendar just open the event and make the change.

I added some images of my Lightning setup. maybe that will help you visualize what it looks like. I have added different colors to the various calendars. All of mine are local except for the gmail one.

You do not send anything anywhere. You add your gmail calendar to Lightning. Lightning lists any calendars you have in a pane on the left margin. When entering an event that you want to show on the gmail calendar make sure it is the one selected and that is where you enter it. If you enter it directly at gmail it will show in Lightning. If you have the local Lightning calendar selected and enter an event that is the only place it shows.

Thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately that doesn't achieve what I want.

I like the Lightning Calendar's functionality and would like to continue using it as my calendar.

What I am looking for is some way to view it on my Android phone after making entries on my desktop Mac and vice versa.

Thank you for that detailed explanation. I was under a misunderstanding of what was meant by "google calendar". Trying right-click on "hone" calendar --> new calendar --> "Network", I see that "google" is one of the choices. I will now mark the thread as "solved". Again, thank you.
