Thunderbird for Android Community Forum

Android 13. Just installed Thunderbird 9.0 to use with my new email account. I can send and receive (IMAP) emails OK. However there is no notification anywhere that I have a new email, even after waiting an hour or 2. I need this before I change to the new email.

I have searched here and elsewhere, found various suggestions but none have worked for me.

If you can help, please write clearly- most of the stuff I have read is in Android-speak which I don't understand. Thanks.

Firstly, congratulations on the Thunderbird android app. Very good, easy to install and to sync with my account. The only issue, and please take a look about that, the minimum sync for the emails are 10 minutes (see attached photo) which is too high when you are expecting a new email. Please reduce the time into 1 minute and to have a notification for income email. Kind regards Charalampos Karampasis

Hallo. Ich habe die aktuelle Version von Thunderbird auf meinem Tablet installiert und bei der Eingabe meiner E-Mail Konten, eine Adresse 2 x eingegeben. Ich finde keine Möglichkeit die doppelte Adresse zu löschen. Wie muss ich vorgehen. Entschuldigen Sie das ich in deutsch schreibe, aber mein Englisch ist zu schlecht.

Can you tell me how to set the frequency of checking emails more often than the 15-minute interval? In other android mail clients, emails arrive almost immediately, within 5-10 seconds, but here the verification interval is very long, and manual verification is such a thing. How do I set it up?

The unified inbox will not sync. I have three email accounts and in order to get them to sync or gather mail, I have to open each individual inbox and sync them. It is very annoying because the whole idea of a unified inbox would be being able to review all incoming mail in one screen! Any solutions, please?

Hi. I have a problem with my K9 mail on my HP chromebook. The computer freezes and I have to reset it and it only happens when sending email from K9 mail. Do anyone know how to fix this?

I recently switch from the Samsung email to the Thunderbird on my phone and I love the app. However, I would like to figure out how I can delete an email on my phone without it deleting it on my desktop version of Thunderbird (IMAP) or on the server that is offsite. I'm sure there is a setting somewhere but I can't find it.

As email threads become lengthy they become unreadable. The older emails turn into displaying one character per line. Is this a bug or something fixable on my end?

Ich kann eMails versenden aber ich empfange auf keiner der Mailadressen eine Nachricht über die App Version. Auf der PC Version kommen die Nachrichten an.

Translation: I use Thunderbird on my PC with five email addresses without any problems. I've now downloaded the app version to my Android smartphone with the barcode scanner. I can send emails, but I'm not receiving any messages from the app version at any of the email addresses. Messages arrive on the PC version.

How do I stop my name being included when I send an email? If I log in through the AOL app it sends the name registered on the email but if I send it thru thunderer it sends my nickname which I don't want for privacy reasons, I added a photo hopefully makes sense! Thanks

I want to create an email signature with an image on my Android device, but I can't upload or insert it! Is there a guide for this? Or is it not possible to insert photos in the Thunderbird Android app, but only text?
