This computer works fine with Firefox, but on my other one it opens to Sorry, we're having trouble getting your pages back. I don't want them back. But Ok, I'll go along with you. Try Start New Session: just buffers. View Previous Tabs? Can't remove the checks. Just buffers. I end up either shutting it down myself through Task Manger (no other way works) or waiting for the popup that Firefox isn't working, what do I want to do? I can't close it with the X. Restarting and shutting down then turning on the computer again didn't do any good.

I had this problem a few months ago, but not as severe. Hard booting worked, and as long as I specifically exited Firefox at the end, with the drop down menu, I could use Firefox. Now I can't use it on my other computer, which is where I prefer to work. I have to use something worse.

Had to restore entire backup image of C: (boot) SSD that was saved on an external USB drive. I had been using FF 156, but the image restored FF 155. My FF profile is always stored on D: (internal HDD).

I launched FF and got a message that my profile was created with a newer version of FF and might not be compatible. The only option was to create a new profile or exit. I created a new profile but when FF opened I had no direct access to my existing profile on D: HDD. It wasn't listed when I clicked the Profiles button on the toolbar.

Came across a site that said to run Start>Run>firefox.exe - P. A box opened that listed both the newly created profile and my existing one on D: HDD. I selected the profile on D: and FF launched without any problems - everything fully restored. So if the existing profile is compatible, why was it so difficult to select it?

How 'bout this..? When FF detects that an existing profile was made with a newer FF version than currently running, why not give the user the option to install the latest FF update on that same message screen, in addition to the option to create a new profile? Then just relaunching FF after the update should allow an existing profile to be selected/used. Obviously existing profiles are compatible with FF updates since everything still works after routine updating.

Exact same thing happened with Thunderbird after reimaging C: because an older version was restored. I tried running thunderbird,exe -P without knowing if that would even work, and it easily allowed me to restore all 5 of my mailbox profiles with thousands of emails that are stored on D: in seconds.

Please make things easier...!

Why is Firefox losing my bookmarks? They're being replaced with a little globe, and they don't work. Also, yesterday's history was lacking at least two-thirds of the sites I visited.

The current version of Firefox is very frustrating to use. It often will not let me enter a password but will send me to the saved passwords. I do not want to put all my passwords on the computer. I have 2 U tube accounts, and the new Firefox will not let me enter the account info directly, but sends me to Google. I have had to resort to using Microsoft Edge out of sheer frustration with Firefox. Previous versions of Firefox did not have these problems

What’s going on with Firefox? Lately, I keep getting hit with reCAPTCHA over and over again, and YouTube is lagging badly. I reinstalled Firefox, deleted everything (cookies, etc.), cleaned up my PC, and reinstalled everything—yet YouTube still lags. I’ve noticed it’s always worse in the morning than in the evening. I tried using other browsers, and YouTube lags there too. What’s happening with YouTube and Firefox? Did something change? Are there conflicts between old and new cookies? Something other change ?

So I found a website that I really want to check frequently so I bookmarked it. The website's favicon is an image of the developers face, and honestly I don't want to see that all the time. I'd like an option to remove/and or change the original favicon to a custom image upload. I also think this is useful if a website doen't have a favicon and you want to add your own. This is just about the bookmarks bar, I don't want to change a favicon for a website everywhere the favicon shows.

Hello everyone. I am getting beyond fed up of Firefox wanting me to put in my master password on every website I visit. The other annoyance as well, when I press cancel the prompt asked me again and does this ALOT. I will go on R6 tracker and it will want me to put in my master password for my password, I press cancel, it will ask me again, again to the point I have to press cancel sometimes around 12-15 times and then lock up my browser and when I check Mozilla will be open 2x tabs one with R6 tracker and one with master prompt.. I thought Mozilla was suppose to keep me safe but its wanting me to give any site my passwords out, hence defeating the purpose, yes? It reminds me of my bank, spend £400 on hardware and no issues and then spend £600 later with no issues, soon as I spent 80p on a keyring, my bank goes into melt down and locks my account up.. daft aint it?.

Youtube is lagging, Fullscreen mode is faulty; the time is incorrectly displayed at the top of the page. Since the last update, I keep getting a "recapture" message proving I'm not a robot.

What's going on in Firefox right now? Can anyone help figure out what's happening? Are others experiencing the same or similar problems?

Suddenly Start Page has become my default browser when I open Firefox. Duck Duck Go has always been my default browser. I did not download Start Page. I don't want Start Page. My PC Win 11 is set to use Duck Duck go as the default browser. Why is this happening?

Login for AOL using Firefox after recent updates takes many attempts. Tried other browsers with no issues.

Last final attempt login an AOL page pops up asking for finger print or passcode with choice of skipping as my PC does not have finger print available.

Eventually after many tries about 2-4 minutes logon completes.

Sir, I am a court staff. I am using DCMS portal everyday for my office use. unfortunately I cannot login in DCMS portal via my this PC since yesterday night I can login DCMS portal through my phone using same user id and password. .Please solve this issue at the earliest.

Firefox is continually emptying my toolbar folders of bookmarks. I am forced to open "Help and Report," then choose "More Trouble Shooting Information" then open "Profile Folder" then close Firefox then select "Places.sqlite" delete it then restart Firefox and the folders are repopulated with the removed bookmarks. To date no one has offered any support. This happens multiple times per week. I cannot be the only one this is happening to. Someone please offer a permanent solution. I have removed then reinstalled Firefox a dozen times and the situations persists. I have a Win 11 Home OS

When I in Firefox try to print a page from Google Kalender (Swedish), it just turns out blank. All other kinds of printouts , e.g. Word, web pages, etc., works fine. This problem started some weeks ago. Please help! Thank you!

I get incessant popups that a virus has been detected from McAfee and to press the Delete Viruses button. I only hit the top right X to make it go away and then at least 10 more immediately pop up. How can these be removed. They even show up over other browsers as a right side popup.

I'm at the point of removing Firefox. How can these be removed from Firefox?
