I can't get my Firefox icon to go to my desktop and become active. I also cannot uninstall Mozilla - it just allows me to attempt to repair it. My icon also shows Firefox 2 for some reason.

My main Extension is 1Password which I rely on. I do have a few other extension and the same applies to them. The Extensions work fine and I can have multiple Firefox windows open with no problem, however if I click on a link in an email (often necessary) it opens a Firefox window as expected but my Extensions are not available on the toolbar and do not work. I can add them to the Toolbar but 1Password does not work in this window (opened from the link), whereas it works in any other Firefox window..

recent firefox update can no longer copy and paste when creating a blog post in Squarespace, I have been using squarespace for around 15 years for my websites and I have never seen this issue, Firefox 15.1 installed and all of a sudden when trying to create a blog post in Squarespace, when I right click a text box pop up and it no longer says paste so I can no longer copy and paste text - this is more than a little annoying, you will not be surprised to know that I am now using Chrome to create my posts, there is no issue in chrome. I am a firefox geek! how can i solve this problem, I just did another update from Firefox, the issue remains I have been using computers for 40 year so I am not a novice but software glitches, I am lost

Running Firefox (currently 151.0.2) on Windows 11. I normally have the Firefox window full height of the screen but not full width horizontally. If the PC goes into screen save, when I bring it out of screen save, the bottom of the Firefox window has moved up by what looks like a couple of dozen pixels. The top of the window has not moved, it's just that the vertical height of the window is less than before screen save cut in. If I let the PC go into screen save again, when it comes out of screen save the window has shrunk by a further vertical amount that looks about the same as the first time. And so on...

No other app that I run on the PC has the same problem with screen save, they all retain their size if screen save cuts in. It's easy enough to get the FF window back to full height by moving the mouse to the top of the window until the mouse pointer changes to a double-headed arrow, and then dragging the top of the title bar down slightly and then back to the top, but it's annoying to have to do this several times a day.

Any suggestions on a fix?

I realized today that my tab groups were all gone and I believe it is because I erased all of my search history about a week ago. Unfortunately I did not realize that clearing my search history would irrecoverably delete my tab groups, and I think it would not be intuitive for many other people either.

Ideally I would like to see a specific option to keep or erase tab groups when clearing search history but in the absence of that I think at least having a warning that you will lose your tab groups if you follow through would be very nice.

Also, when I first visited here today, I was not logged in. I 'd like to stay logged in. Then, I couldn't have been here for more than 15 seconds, and this appeared. How can a session be expired when there was no session? Is this part of the reason I don't stay logged in?

I recently downloaded Firefox and setup a home profile on my personal computer. I want to use the same profile on my work computer. I set up sync but that says it's done and nothing changes. How do i sync over the settings, passwords, bookmarks, theme, etc.?

I have this setting setup in Chrome but I'm tired of using chrome. Yet this feature is really important to me. I'd like to make change to bookmarks on my personal computer and it should update my profile on my work computer too

I was playing a game hat required dialogues and I accidentally clicked the "Stop site from making Dialogues" check box and i cant undo it, I've tried reloading the site but that didnt work, and that was the only suggestion i could find.

I am not being allowed to access some websites because of my 'Do Not Track' status still being broadcast. I had the field set to 'Yes' when the field was removed. I am not allowed onto these other sites because of my 'Do Not Track' status. How can I fix this ? I was planning on using Firefox when I go to Apple silicon later this year - but not if I keep running into problems before I switch.

Windows 11 i9-10850K 64Gb Ram

Running Windows 11 on Dell DB16250 Laptop. Using Firefox, updated. I want to use Firefox and eliminate Edge always. Is there a way to remove Edge from being default for ALL file types? --- Some types, like .pdf, I will associate with in that case Adobe Acrobat (of course). Others I may leave with NO association. If I chance on one of those files I'll select then. I do not want Edge to be triggered by ANY file type. --- Can I wipe Edge from all of the type associations Microsoft ties to Edge in some general way? Or must I go through the list and un-Edge them one by one? --- Thank you.

For the past two days I haven't been able to get past the recaptcha on several sites (Facebook, Instagram). I have tried all the workarounds other users have provided and what Google has offerd to no avail. I'm also having a difficult time accessing my hotmail acct from Firefox as well. I don't seem to have this issue with either of these problems if I move to a different browser. Firefox has always been my main (and only) browser, yet more and more often I seem to have issues anymore. What the F is going on? Would appreciate any help I can get. Again, I've tried removing Ad Blockers from these sites and even turned off the 'Enhanced Tracking' thing on the address bar; none of this works.

Well, there is a bug with your downloading files configurations that REALLY ANNOYS me, which is, i want to always select where to save my downloaded files, no problem with that, i just set all configurations to "always ask", but sometimes, especially for pdfs, i want to just open them, without the need to save them to my computer, so the only one i have set as "open with firefox" is the pdfs, and if i want to download them, i just do so by clicking the download button on the corner. BUT, with this configuration, if there is a button to download a pdf, without opening it previously, it will skip the "ask where to download" pop-up, which is a pain in the ass, as usually want my stuff in specific folders, not the general downloads one. And even iff i set pdfs to "always ask" and then chose to open with firefox, it will automatically download it (???????) to the downloads folder, and then open it from my pc, even tho it could open it from the file in the server, which is what i wanted. I just switched to firefox, please fix this awful feature and dont make me find another browser.
