since making Firefox my default browser I keep getting "google chrome is not your default browser" how do I get rid of it? I have been trying. But google advice keeps making Chrome my browser. If cannot get rid of it I will just have to make Chrome my browser again.

I do not understand what is meant by the address bar in the info about stopping the Passkey notice in Firefox. I tried typing in the line where the description of the webpage is located with no success. This line: (.https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new/firefox/form).

I just had a firefox tab with a pop up asking me to try ai features... my options were "yes" or "maybe later". How do I stop the slop sales? I want ZERO pop ups... from Mozilla or anyone else! I didnt see settings that would disable mozilla sales pop ups - is there some way to turn these off permanently? I have already turned off the ai features. Really appreciate any suggestions!

I once signed up for a stock service, which included a daily popup. When I found I did not need/want it, I discontinued the service and deleted all of the related files. But the daily popup still remains and occurs. When I contacted the service they said it was something still attached to the browser but could not tell me how to find it or remove it. I have looked at everything I could think of but cannot find any reference to 'Weiss' (service name) or any name anywhere within Firefox. What am I missing? Many thanks Jim Bigger

Roughly every two weeks, when accessing gmail, I get this popup in the upper right of the screen. I have tried clicking dismiss, I have tried the dropdown to "see fewer hints", neither thing makes any difference. Please stop interrupting me to tell me about this feature - I am very happy with my current method of accessing my email.

Is there any way to disable this notification, forever?

I'm being bombarded by FireFox regarding "Dangerous Files" Downloaded, and I cant find a way to turn them off! I have Malewarebytes installed and I don't need nor desire for FireFox and a number of your PAID advertisers like McAfee, to be involved in my on-line protection. I'm on windows 10 in EU with the free extended support. Everytime I open a new tab a banner appears asking me to enable backup to prepare for windows 11. I DON'T want to enable backup. I clicked dismiss but it keeps showing up all the time, it's incredibly annoying.

When I sign in to Firefox it puts a message up saying Microsoft is no longer supporting Windows 10 and telling me to backup my info to get ready for Windows 11. I'm not planning to get Windows 11 as my PC won't support it. Should I ignore this message?

i have a lenovo windows 10 desktop media centre. every time i launch firefox on it is will ask me if i want firefox to start at startup, which i do not want. i have selected no on the push notification, and selected no in the settings yet the next time i open firefox it asks again, it is very annoying and has only been doing so for about 2 weeks

For a few weeks now, Firefox desktop (on both Linux & Windows) prompts me on every start to create a new profile. I don't want to create a new profile, nor do I want to disable profiles completely, but most of all, I don't want to be repeatedly prompted. Another peeve is the repeated advertising of the new "summary" feature. New features should be offered *once* with an option to *permanently* dismiss the reminders! Failing this, there should be an option to disable the reminder in settings, without having to use about:config!

This tab group notification seems to be bugged or something. It just keeps reminding me over and over and over and over.

Any help would be appreciated.

Since one of the latest updates, Firefox keeps randomly showing me a popup saying "pin this tab", pointing to a tab I just opened. I close it with its X button, but after a while it just pops up again. I don't want to pin a tab, ever - I have bookmarks for a reason and I don't see any point in this feature. How do I stop this incredibly annoying popup from bugging me constantly to do something I never want to do?

I have Firefox for Mac iOS, and want to turn on notifications for Microsoft Teams, but I do not want them to ever make sound. Like ever ever. I cannot figure out how to turn on banner notifications while keeping them quiet (they always appear in the top right, as requested, but make a dinging sound.) The notifications panel in my System Settings is grayed out, and isn't allowing me to make changes to it for some reason. How can I can allow notifications in Firefox while suppressing any and all sounds those notifications they make?

I need a fucking no on this setting, not a "not now". I do not want the browser to open on startup. But when I do want the browser open, there is the browser asking me again like an ex that wont get the hint.

How can I disable various Firefox usage hints? I've uploaded an example of one of these hints associated with the List all Tabs button. This hint pops up every time I start Firefox. There are other hints like the attached that appear from time to time.

This doesn't appear to be a bug. During a recent Firefox update, I believe I either checked a box to show me these hints or I failed to uncheck the appropriate box. I haven't figured out how to discontinue these hints (via Internet search, Firefox support search, or me poking around in Firefox settings).

I'm running desktop Firefox on Windows 11 Home, version 10.0.26200 build 26200.

When the Global Privacy Control request is checked (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/global-privacy-control?as=u&utm_source=inproduct) a persistent bubble appears at the bottom of the page indicating the request has been accepted. The bubble is annoying. Is there a way to continue to use this feature without the bubble appearing?

My screen has recently been drowned in completely uninteresting and unwanted boxes with various contents, signed Mozilla Firefox, that I have to keep clicking 'dismiss' on to get rid of - how can I make this unwanted invasion of my screen stop????
